Common Symptoms:

-

On a day to day basis, it is not unlikely to experience common ailments. Things like headaches, heartburn, joint pain, and insomnia are all examples of symptoms many people will experience throughout their life. When these symptoms pop up in an isolated instance, we can quite often attribute them to a discernible cause. That headache may be caused by not drinking enough water on a hot day; insomnia due to stress anticipating a big event that’s coming up. However, when symptoms such as these become chronic there is quite often more to consider. Because the body is dynamic in how it works, it undergoes changes and adaptations when it encounters barriers that threaten its normal function. It is through these adaptations that these symptoms start to present. They are also a warning sign that the body is being exposed, threatened, or reactive to a negative stimulus. Unfortunately, these common symptoms often go untreated which may result in the development of chronic diseases.

I like to use the analogy of comparing our body to our vehicle. Symptoms such as these are similar the check engine light that comes up on our dashboard. For many people, they may ignore this light. However, the longer you go without addressing your engine, the more likelihood of damage to your vehicle. The same thing can be said for your body. By not addressing these common symptoms, you may be putting yourself at a greater chance of adverse health conditions later in life.

It is important to ask yourself what symptoms you experience throughout the day. If they are things you’ve been experiencing for a long period of time, you may want to seek out advice to help the body recover. Common symptoms such as headaches, digestive complaints, joint pain, and insomnia are quite effectively treated through lifestyle changes, dietary modifications and non-invasive therapies such as massage and acupuncture. By taking action early and being proactive about your health, you may provide protection against more serious chronic diseases.
