Warriors Hall of Fame weekend to feature special initiative­s

The 2017 edition of the Conexus Warriors and Legends Hall of Fame Weekend, set for Feb. 23 and 24, will feature a trio of special initiative­s for the weekend.

At the Hall of Fame Game against the Regina Pats at Mosaic Place on Feb, 24, the Warriors will be wearing their special edition Hall of Fame jerseys to commemorat­e the weekend. In addition, the starting goaltender that night will be wearing a special edition mask featuring 2017 inductees Jason Fitzsimmon­s and Rob Reimer -- designed by artist Jay Bartziokas -- which will be auctioned off at the Hall of Fame Banquet on Feb. 23.

The Warriors will also be giving away limited-edition Hall of Fame-themed Brody Willms bobblehead­s The bobblehead will be given to the first 1,000 fans at the game on Feb. 24 and will be limited to one per ticket per person as supplies last. Fitzsimmon­s, Reimer, and Toby Tobias (builder) will be inducted into the Conexus Warriors and Legends Hall of Fame on Feb. 23 in a ceremony at the Heritage Inn. Tickets are available from Warriors board members or at the Warriors office in Mosaic Place.

“Conexus’ involvemen­t in the Hall of Fame dinner over the last decade has been nothing short of incredible. It’s partner- ships like this that allow us to continue to hold these marquee events and raise much needed funds for our players Education Fund,” said Corey Nyhagen, Warriors di- rector of business operations.

“The Conexus Warriors and Legends Hall of Fame Dinner raises over $20,000 per year for the team’s education fund to en- sure our graduating players have the op portunity to receive a post-secondary ed ucation.”
