The new year is already shaping up to be something truly special for Canadians. As our nation embarks upon its 150th year of confederation, we can all look forward to a wide range of anniversary programs and special community activities taking place throughout the country.

Here at Our Canada and More of Our Canada, our aim in 2017 is to provide you with more of the same great content you are accustomed to seeing on our pages, all brought to you by fellow Canadians with stories and photos they wish to share. As the new year unfolds, you may notice that we’re selecting submissions for publication that really reflect Canada’s growth and values as a nation—as well as our country’s amazing cultural diversity—in a down-to-earth, personal way. Submissions that highlight Canada’s awe-inspiring geographical and natural wonders—as well as all the road trips and vacation travel associated with the above—will likewise figure prominently in 2017.

In a specially themed “Coming to Canada” JuneJuly 2017 issue, we intend to bring you an allinclusive view of Canada that traces the origins and peoples of our country, from Canada’s First Nations and early pioneers right through to the modern day.

As you can see at right, we will also pay tribute to Canada’s war veterans throughout 2017, by running a Veteran Profile in every issue. We also hope to do our veterans and their families proud with Remembrance-themed tributes in both the OctoberNovember 2017 issue of Our Canada and the November 2017 issue of More of Our Canada.

So, here’s to 2017—may it bring all Canadians together in a lasting, meaningful way!
