CHILE “My wife Paula and I took a copy of Our Canada to the “end of the world“on a cruise around Cape Horn in southern Chile, South America,“shares Wayne Davis of Cambridge, Ont. “The weather we encountered at Cape Horn was typical of its reputation with rough seas, high winds, rain and sleet, making for a memorable experience. Cape Horn is constantly manned with a lighthouse and research outpost. On this cruise, the majority of the people we met were Canadians. Even the captain of the vessel was a Canadian, originally from Alberta!”

FLORIDA Shannon

Hein of Omemee, Ont., writes, “I travelled to Fort Myers, Fl., for March break in 2017. I purposely took a copy of Our Canada with me so I could take a picture of myself in a different location, but with a little bit of Canada. My friend Gail snapped this photo of me standing by a model pirate ship outside the Parrot Key restaurant in Fort Myers. While I was eating, I saw an actual pirate-ship tour leaving the dock. Since I love pirates, it seemed fitting to snap a picture with the magazine here!”

MEXICO ”My husband Stephan (who snapped this pic of me) and I decided to take our most recent copy of Our Canada to the Mayan Riviera in Mexico last winter,“says Amanda

Carruthers of White Lake, Ont. “Our final day there was January 27 and the magazine lasted us the entire week. We left it at the resort to share with other Canadian tourists.” ■
