MARILYN KAMSTRA

Marilyn’s interest in photography began with her first job at Eastman Kodak in Toronto. In fact, she still has her first Kodak Brownie 8 movie camera! She and her husband, John, raised their five children in the countryside on the outskirts of Tottenham, Ont. Later, as their kids got older, they purchased an additional “piece of paradise” in the beautiful Almaguin Highlands. Marilyn says having a cottage on this property has provided even more marvelous opportunities to enjoy nature at its best. Her Critters piece (page 52) about being able to witness snapping turtles lay their eggs on her property every year is a perfect example.
