The Treatment Opened in 2014, and with a focus on providing wait-time relief for Canadians facing lengthy appointment and surgery delays, Health City specializes in orthopedic surgery, including knee and hip replacements, as well as cardiac surgery, neurosurgery and minimally invasive spinal surgery. Patient care begins with a call to Health City’s office in Hamilton, after which Canadian staff coordinators obtain pertinent records and schedule an initial, no-charge consultation via video with a surgeon at Health City. When ready to proceed, coordinators create a single bundled rate for everything from pre- to post-surgery care, including surgical and physician fees, anesthesia, inpatient accommodation and meals, postoperative physiotherapy and follow-up, as well as airport and land transfers via a concierge service, and a personal patient care representative who provides guidance and support. Health City Cayman Islands has the Joint Commission International seal of approval, which is awarded to hospitals operating at the highest standards.
Supplementary A renowned luxe travel destination, Grand Cayman offers plenty of breathtaking accommodation options ideally suited for recovering in tropical tranquility. Health City is also home to Blue Cilantro, an offshoot of the award-winning, fine-dining restaurant at Grand Cayman’s Seven Mile Beach. Although the mere mention of hospital food is enough to cause most to cringe, Blue Cilantro features Indianand Caribbean-influenced dishes, along with American-style classics, and has become a dining hot spot for local residents and in-the-know tourists along with patients, caregivers, staff and visitors. Fresh ingredients are harvested from on-site gardens and what isn’t grown is sourced from local farmers whenever possible.
