BIO: Award-winning actress, filmmaker, speaker, business owner and consultant, Fabienne Colas is the “Queen of Festivals” who created and manages seven successful festivals in Montreal, Toronto, Halifax, New York City and Port-au-Prince. She is on a mission to foster diversity on and off screen, to inspire people to take action that leads to change and to give a voice to creators who otherwise would not be heard.

BIO: Shannon Hosford oversees one of the largest and most diverse sports marketing portfolios in North America, leading all brand functions for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, Toronto FC, Toronto Argonauts, MLSE LIVE and MLSE Foundation. For her efforts leading rebranding for the Maple Leafs and Raptors in recent years, and the successful bid for the 2016 NBA All-Star Weekend, Shannon was named to Adweek’s “33 Media, Marketing and Tech Stars who have helped Make Toronto a Vibrant Creative Hub.”

ADVICE I WOULD GIVE MY YOUNGER SELF: Surround yourself with stars and you will all shine.

ANNE FITZGERALD

BIO: Anne Fitzgerald oversees all of Cineplex’s legal, corporate affairs and real estate matters. She has practised law in both Canada and the U.S., primarily in litigation including having prosecuted multiple domestic homicide and sex offence cases. She serves on several film industry boards, including the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television and the Global Cinema Federation. Anne volunteers on the boards of Duke University’s Divinity School and Outward Bound Canada and is a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographic Society.

EARLY, LASTING LESSON: Respect, like love, is not something you find; it’s something you do.

SUCCESS IS: A composite of so many factors, but the most important for me is honing the ability to find joy in relationsh­ips.

JENNIFER TWINER MCCARRON

BIO: Jennifer Twiner McCarron joined Atomic Cartoons, Thunderbir­d Entertainm­ent’s Kids and Family Division, in 2011 and helped grow the company from 25 artists to more than 700 today. In 2016, she was promoted to President and CEO of Atomic. Under her leadership, Atomic shifted from being a service hub to an independen­t content creator, producing content such as “Beat Bugs” and “The Last Kids on Earth” for Netflix. In 2018, Jennifer became CEO of Thunderbir­d, a role that oversees the Company’s Kids and Family, Factual and Scripted Divisions.

MELISSA GRELO

BIO: Teacher-turned-journalist and television host, Melissa Grelo led flagship shows on CTV and CP24 in Toronto. She has reported on Toronto’s biggest breaking news stories and made her national debut co-hosting CTV’s Olympic Morning from Whistler, B.C. She is the co-host of daytime talk show The Social and a contributo­r on Your Morning. When not on camera, she enjoys travelling, finding the next great workout and spending time with her large multiethni­c family.

ON BEING DESCRIBED AS POWERFUL: Power means self-actualizat­ion. I feel proud that I set out with a list of goals and have achieved many of them with integrity, hard work and talent.

ADVICE I WOULD GIVE MY YOUNGER SELF: Do what sets your soul on fire. Live a life and find a career that makes you jump out of bed every morning and allows you to sleep peacefully and fulfilled every night.
