BOY KILLED IN ’COPTER CRASH WAS RESIDENT OF GUELPH

A 16- year- old boy who died Monday after being injured in a Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, helicopter crash has been identified as a resident of Guelph, Ont. The teen and three family members were aboard a tour helicopter when it crashed into the water, pictured, near the Pearl Harbor Visitors Center on Feb. 18. Although their names have not been officially released, various media outlets report the teen was a Grade 10 student at Centennial Collegiate Vocational Institute in Guelph, Ont. The Upper Grand District School Board said, “We are extremely saddened to learn of the passing of one of our students and our hearts go out to the student’s family.” The teen’s family donated his organs, the Pali Momi Medical Center in Aiea, Hawaii, said. Two family members remain hospitaliz­ed in stable condition.
