DUN HAM BACK SK ES HA AFTER COURT RULING

- Sadaf Ahsan, National Post

Lena Dunham is just the latest celebrity to offer a show of support for Kesha after last week’s court ruling in which a judge denied the singer a preliminary injunction against producer Dr. Luke ( Lukasz Gottwald), who Kesha has accused of “sexual and drug-related assault.” In this week’s issue of her newsletter Lenny Letter, Dunham wrote she “felt sick” when reading the news. Dunham goes on to suggest that although Dr. Luke’s record label is saying it will allow Kesha to work on her own, the company is “minimizing” the danger Kesha feels in an environment still under her alleged attacker’s control. In the last week, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Fiona Apple, Demi Lovato and Kelly Clarkson, many of whom have worked with Dr. Luke in the past, have spoken out in support of the singer. Taylor Swift donated $ 250,000 to Kesha “to help with any of her financial needs during this trying time.”
