There was much to crow about at the grand opening gala for Streetcar Crowsnest, the new home of Crow’s Theatre, presented by Scotiabank.
After 34 years as a nomadic theatre company, this wonderful spot in Leslieville will be its permanent home. With an A- list crowd in attendance and incredible performances by Sara Farb, Khari Wendell McClelland, Sarah Slean and Brent Carver, it would be safe to say that the evening exceeded all expectations.
Opening the season in the Guloien Theatre is a new Canadian comedy, The Wedding Party, written by actress and playwright Kristen Thomson.
Programming will feature an eclectic line- up of theatre, music, dance, opera, comedy, cabaret and classes for kids.
Congratulations to co-chairs Salah Bachir and Kate Daniels, as well as honourary chair, powerhouse Nancy Lockhart.
