The one and only soiree
Bahamas club rolls the dice with a Rosedale relaunch
The stakes were high as The One & Only Ocean Club Bahamas hosted a night of gambling that high rollers won’t soon forget.
The likes of Simona Shnaider, Paul Coffey, Kap Dilawri and Jason Priestley all got to practice their best poker faces as they played rounds of blackjack, poker and more.
The Rosedale home of Mark and Suzanne Cohon was transformed into a gambler’s paradise for the eclectic group of guests from the worlds of business, fashion and influence, all to celebrate the long awaited reopening of the 5- star luxury resort this February.
Guests were kept hydrated with oodles of champagne and a lake’s worth of Georgian Bay Gin and Vodka. Caviar and foie gras bites were done to perfection by everyone’s favourite chef, Cory Vitiello.
One of the highlights of the night was mixing and mingling with Brett Armitage, Ashley McBain and Dale Parkington of One & Only, all of whom made the special trip from Dubai for the event.
With prizes on offer like a weekend at The One & Only Ocean Club, it’s no wonder the gambling continued well into the night.
“We c o ul d not have thought of a better way to celebrate the re- opening of One & Only Ocean Club than with a champagne soiree in Toronto. Canada is such an important market for us and we wanted to host a unique event that is in line with the resort and all it has to offer,” said Dale Parkington, the club’s resident manager.
