HARRY POTTER STAR HIDES 100 COPIES OF ATWOOD NOVEL IN PARIS
EMMA WATSON
Continuing to l i ve her best Hermione Granger-inspired life, Emma Watson has yet again decided to be the book fairy we didn’t know we needed by hiding 100 copies of The Handmaid’s Tale around Paris. The Margaret Atwood novel was penned in 1985, but has been experiencing a massive resurgence as of late, thanks in part to the Hulu series starring Elisabeth Moss and because, well, its dystopian themes have become particularly topical in the current political climate. So leave it to Watson, an avid reader and women’s rights advocate, to choose the book as this month’s featured read for her online book club Our Shared Shelf. Watson has partnered with The Book Fairies to spread the literary wealth, even including handwritten notes inside each copy.
