SEMA-BOUND IONIQ STRESSES EFFICIENCY OVER HORSEPOWER
Tuning company Bisimoto is no
stranger to prepping high-horsepower Hyundai vehicles for the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas. But this year, the two companies are doing things a little differently. For the 2017 SEMA show, Bisimoto is prepping a Hyundai Ioniq — known as the HyperEconiq Ioniq — that will focus on big efficiency over big horsepower. According to Bisimoto’s tests, the HyperEconiq Ioniq is good for 83 miles per gallon ( 2.8 L/ 100 km). Tweaks include an aero kit with rear- wheel covers, along with 19-inch carbon-fibre wheels, coilover suspension system, upgraded exhaust, aluminum brake calipers and Recaro seats, to name just a few of the numerous upgrades. This year’s SEMA show kicks off on Oct. 31 and runs until Nov. 3.
