Name-calling

Re: Fight on Eskimos, but game over, Colby Cosh, Nov. 11 So the mayor of Winnipeg thinks the Edmonton Eskimos should change their name to be more in keeping with the times. Perhaps he should look more thoughtfully at home. The name “Blue Bombers” conjures up pictures of war and extreme violence; it could also be interpreted to be highly partisan in political terms. As such, it has absolutely no place in our kinder, gentler Canadian society and should be abandoned immediately.
