Cuisine on the scene
Toronto’s Assembly Chef ’s Hall has all the ingredients for success
The Assembly Chef ’s Hall is a food- lover’s dream. Think of it as a next-generation food court in Toronto’s financial district with a bunch of hipsters thrown in for good measure. Toronto’s top chefs, restaurateurs and baristas have come together to offer great eats in a whopping 18,000- squarefoot piece of heaven which includes a wine bar, beer hall and outdoor patio.
VIP guests and influencers such as photographer Caitlin Cronenberg, Mayor John Tory, television personality Hilary Farr, Liz Trinnear and Chloe Wilde poured into the venue and had the pleasure of digging into some spectacular bites. Delectable snacks included fried chicken by Love Chix, Texas Style Brisket by Cherry Street Bar- B- Que, Crispy Sweet and Sour Pork Hock with Asian slaw by DaiLo, lobster bisque by Bluenose Lobster and Kale Sunflower Caesar Salad by Mira Mira – just to mention a few. This brilliant concept was the brainchild of visionary Andreas Antoniou.
“Opening Assembly Chef ’s Hall has been quite the adventure. After nearly two years of planning, curation and development, we are honoured to have brought Canada’s first- ever Chef ’s Hall to Toronto,” enthused Andreas Antoniou, Managing Partner. “Assembly Chef ’s Hall is home to seventeen acclaimed chefs from across the city, all under one roof who share in our vision and desire to develop a world- class hospitality venue and push the limits of the culinary scene – right in the heart of Toronto.”
For breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between, the seventeen Assembly chefs will be serving up their signature dishes, with an eighteenth spot serving as a rotational pop-up for local and visiting chefs to test new concepts. Once the coolio crowd was satiated, the revellers moved to the Beer Hall where the fun went late into the night as everyone got their dance on until the wee hours.
