Re: Summer jobs ruckus not dead, just resting. John Ivison. March 16

The Charter of Rights and Freedoms is an institution in Canada that we thought would protect all citizens living in this great country of ours. This sacred institution has been eroding greatly since the Liberals came into power.

We now are required to think the way the Prime Minister thinks. Diversity has gone, religious freedom has gone, individual thought and expression has gone. In fact, Canadians have been told that if they want something from the Government, just check the right boxes. It doesn’t matter if you disagree, you will get the money if you tell a lie. Is that like selling your soul to the devil? Which then begs the question, who is the devil?

The Liberal Party has shown its true colours on this issue. If you think I am angry, you are right.

It seems more of us are “ticked off ” with the Liberal government.

Allow me to point out what some might consider a rare display of consistency when it comes to liberals, and Prime Minister Trudeau in particular.

During the last federal election, Mr. Trudeau made it clear that only pro choice supporters would be permitted to run as candidates.

Now, it seems that groups applying for assistance providing summer jobs for students must tick off the portion of the application that signifies the same position as the acceptable Liberal Party candidates in the last federal election. Should we really be surprised at this?

Liberals claim interest in other points of view, then, are shocked to find that there are actually other points of view. No wonder some of us are “ticked off.”
