4 CANADIAN CITIES IN TOP 25 FOR QUALITY OF LIVING

According to Mercer’s 20th annual Quality of Living survey, Canada continues to be a desirable place to live and work, with four Canadian cities placed in the top 25. For the 8th consecutiv­e year, Vancouver is the highest ranked North American city at No. 5, followed by Toronto (16), Ottawa (19), Montreal ( 21) and Calgary ( 33) . Canadian cities performed well when it came to city sanitation, measured separately this year, with Ottawa ranked second. Vienna holds the top spot for overall quality of living for the 9th consecutiv­e year, followed by Zurich ( 2), and Auckland and Munich in joint 3rd place. The highest- ranking U. S. city is San Francisco ( 30). “Canada continues to be a desirable place to live and work...” said Mercer Canada’s Gordon Frost.
