TURNING THE TABLES ON SPOILERS

Part of the beauty of the first season of HBO’s Westworld was trying to crack the series’ twists before they were revealed. The show debuted last year to countless reddit threads hellbent on noting every clue on questions ranging from whether William and the Man in Black might be the same person to the awareness level of Dolores. With the second season set to premiere on April 22, creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy decided to supposedly one-up their fans in a reddit AMA last week, claiming they’d give up Season 2 spoilers themselves after nabbing 1,000 upvotes. Nolan and Joy, after getting the upvotes, posted a video claiming to spoil Season 2’s secrets. The video opens with Bernard walking on a beach, and a few minutes in, turns to Evan Rachel Wood singing “Never Gonna Give You Up,” and then 22 minutes of a dog sitting next to a piano against a swelling score, concluding with the title card: “For Bento 2009-2018.” We can likely safely assume Bento is the dog. You can bet redditors and other fans will be deconstructing this video.
