More Post memories
Re: National Post turns 20
I read the Post’s 20th anniversary edition with a degree of fondness, having worked there for 14 years (starting a few months after its inception).
While I realize you could not acknowledge everyone who contributed to its early success, I felt there were glaring omissions.
Natasha Hassan capably steered the Comment section in its early days, and I remember her lengthy conversations with the likes of Mark Steyn, when she was editing his column. Steve Meurice (who moved up the ranks to managing editor) was also pivotal to the development of the Post, as were people such as the legions of copy editors who worked late into the night to ensure that readers were given the best newspaper in Canada.
The Post is a great newspaper. I just wish all the former staff could be acknowledged. Paul Russell, former

We have been subscribers since your first edition and appreciate the excellence in writing and scope of coverage.
Looking back over the past 20 years, there was one notable omission in your list of contributors: Steve Murray.
His graphic contributions brought life to dry numbers and his continuing comic strip featuring the Post staff writers was fun relief from the serious nature of news.
His contribution was appreciated and he is missed. Barbara Darrah, Victoria, B.C.
