Handling China

Re: ‘A watershed moment,’ Derek H. Burney, Sept. 29

This was a very insightful piece on the challenges facing the world posed by the threats from China. However, to suggest that Joe Biden might handle this file with more appeal then the current U. S. administration would be laughable were it not so dangerous. Bernie Sanders and others who would be part of the Democratic administration, were it to win, have called for deep cuts in the Pentagon. So much for giving the U. S. leverage when dealing with China.
