CHAPPELLE’S SHOWS CANCELLED

-

Dave Chappelle’s live shows have been scrapped due to possible COVID-19 exposure among its crew. The comedian has been performing during the pandemic with his Intimate Socially Distanced Affair shows in Yellow Springs, Ohio. “Due to possible exposure to COVID-19 within our inner circle, and out of an abundance of caution, we have elected to cancel the remaining … shows,” a rep told the New York Post. Physical distancing, face masks, hand sanitizer, temperature checks and access to daily COVID-19 tests were all in effect, and the rep added that there are no reported cases among patrons or crew. Many other comedians had performed at the shows — including Chris Rock, David Letterman, Jon Stewart, Tiffany Haddish, Michael Che, Sarah Silverman and Louis CK — however the exposure is not thought to have affected them. The final show was due to take place on Sunday.
