Named after San Francisco’s Painted Ladies, a row of colourfully painted Victorian homes, this executive turquoise-and-yellow townhouse garnered a lot of attention, says listing agent Tansie bartozzi.

Potential buyers listed its location as a drawing card. It’s super close to the lake, boardwalk, 28-acre Woodbine Park and almost right across from an Olympic-size pool. Add to that the other amenities on Queen Street east just to the north and a location in the Kew beach Public School catchment area and it was hard to resist.

“We did not have multiple bids but we had five offers during the course of the listing,” she says. “It appealed to young professional couples interested in being part of the prestigious beaches community.”

The 2,710-square-foot home was built in 2007. bartozzi says the sellers are the original owners and all upgrades were done by the builder.

upgrades include an entertainer’s/chef’s kitchen with custom-built cabinets, stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. brazilian hardwood floors are featured throughout.

The kitchen island has a breakfast bar, as well as a large sunny eating area beside a wall of windows and a walkout to a balcony.

The main floor offers a living room with a walkout to a deck. A bedroom and a family room with a fireplace and a built-in entertainment unit occupy the second floor.

“everyone loves the third-floor spectacular master bedroom retreat with a spa-like bathroom and lots of closet space.” bartozzi says they especially enjoyed the lake view from the balcony.

A two-piece bathroom, a bedroom and a recreation room with a walkout are on the walkout lower level. There is a covered porch ideal for people watching and an interlocking brick patio.

The three-bedroom, three-bathroom residence, which has two fireplaces, three balconies and a builtin barbecue, is on a 16x116foot property with a detached two-car garage and lane access.

It’s close to transit, which provides an easy commute downtown. Local events include the International beaches Jazz Festival and easter and Santa claus parades.
