In loving memory of James "Jim" Campbell Boccioletti

-

July 25, 1949 - February 12, 2020

We honor a life fully lived, and recognize how blessed we were to have known "The Jim". It is one year since his passing, and we still celebrate the way he lived .... without moderation.

Jim was passionate - about his family, about business, and about life. He thrived in helping things grow - his community, his colleagues, and his loved ones. We were all beneficiaries of his enthusiasm and exuberance that was so contagious. Jim always strived to do his best and to do what was right; the patient natural mentor and humble gentleman attributed his success as being attained "with a little help from his friends".

Jim learned business with the FW Woolworth (Woolco) company and then Walmart. Then he and loving wife Maryhelen obtained their first Canadian Tire franchise in Vegreville AB, then Grand Falls-windsor NL. It was his store in Grande Prairie AB that his philanthropy took off. As a business owner he recognized his moral obligation to engage and be involved in his community, knowing that it was his duty to give back and support the local community that supported him. Jim lived by those words making sure to recognize and contribute to arts and culture, sports, education, health care, and to the individuals that were his employees - of whom he considered his greatest asset .... After all you get by with a little help from your friends.

A father, a grandfather, a friend and mentor Jim has left us countless experiences and memories that will forever make us laugh, cry, grow. We remember the beauty of sharing a thunderstorm, skipping stones, walks, travels, the times playing and helping others with golf, and perhaps the sharing a bottle of wine, or two, or maybe we could pick out just one more to share, together.

It is hard to believe it has been a year without Jim but we do our best to notice the birds, the sunsets, savor the wine, talk to a stranger, and appreciate the beauty and love that is around us - as he will always be with us after all.

We miss you dearly but are better for having you in our lives. Best expressed from your adoring wife and best friend who loved you so profoundly ...... "please know that I am doing okay, it is difficult but I am doing my best not to let my thoughts turn to loss. This will not win here because you would not have let it and you are always my guide. This will not break me nor weaken me, it will not hold me down forever - because you would want me to live fully, to love freely, and leave impact on those we loved together, as you have done. This I promise: to stand, even if the only motivation is the thought of your smile knowing I am doing okay."
