SALE OF TORONTO’S FOUR SEASONS HOTEL SETS RECORD
The Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto has been sold for $225 million, a Canadian record for lodging prices, says the company that brokered the deal. Chicago-based Jones Lang
LaSalle Inc. said Friday it sold the 259-room hotel in mid-town Toronto for the equivalent of $868,726 per room on behalf of Kingdom
Holding Co. to Shahid Khan, founder of FlexN-Gate Group and chief executive of the Jack- sonville Jaguars of the NFL and the Londonbased Fulham Football Club. It is Khan’s first move into hotels. The property, which opened in 2012, will remain managed by Four Seasons. “The property’s prominent location and proximity to Four Seasons’ global headquarters generated a depth of international investor interest,” said Mark Sparrow, a senior vicepresident with JLL.
