Speaking of Bozos ...

Re: Who'll save the Tories from self-destruction?, Feb. 22

Kelly McParland smugly opines: “There may be a Bozo in the White House, but it’s unlikely Canadians are eager to have a clown of their own.”

Too late! We sanctimonious Canadians beat our American friends to the punch by a year; not only did we elect a clown, but an entire circus of incompetents.

How else to explain such a potential massive deficit to be added to our already onerous combined national and provincial debts, the lack of prospect for real economic growth, meaningful jobs and affordable home ownership for young Canadians, disincentives to foreign investment; counter-productive carbon taxes, the perpetuation of stifling Big Government bureaucracy that continues to bungle the procurement of essential military equipment; seeming deafness to legitimate aboriginal concerns, veterans’ care, border security and the list goes on.

At least their “Bozo” says he has a plan to redress many of the challenges facing the U.S. Canadians are still waiting to see a coherent Liberal playbook. Stefan Browarski, Ottawa
