MAN ACCUSED OF THREATS TO GOODALE REMAINS IN CUSTODY

-

The Calgary man accused of threatening federal Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale has been remanded into custody until his next court date. Sebastien Taylor, 48, is to appear in provincial court July 12 to make a plea to the charge of uttering threats against the cabinet minister. The RCMP say he made threats against Goodale, pictured, in a voicemail on June 4. Members of the RCMP’s National Security Enforcement Team identified the caller from the recording and then arrested Taylor in Airdrie. No details of the alleged threats have been released. The case comes in the wake of charges laid in May against Lisa Seymour-Peters of Lethbridge, Alta., for allegedly making threats via social media against Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, the wife of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
