‘I hope you’re OK and I’m truly sorry’

Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age performs at The Forum on Saturday, where he kicked a female photographer in the head. want you sorry.”

While speaking with Variety, Lauren, a Shutterstock photographer, said she felt Homme’s behaviour was “obviously very intentional.”

In fact, in a photo she posted to her Instagram, he can be seen smiling just before the incident.

She said, “He looked straight at me, swung his leg back to know that I’m pretty hard and full-blown kicked me in the face. He continued performing, I was startled, I kind of stopped looking at him, I just got down and was holding my face because it hurt so badly.”

She was later taken for treatment at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and said, at the time of the incident, she planned to file a police report. Left with a bruised eyebrow and sore neck, in an Instagram post, Lauren wrote, “Thanks to Josh Homme, I now get to spend my night in the ER. Seriously, WHO DOES THAT?!?”

But that wasn’t Homme’s only instance of bizarre behaviour that night. At one point during the show, he also cut his own forehead with a knife, called the audience “retards” and declared “F--k Muse!” — the evening’s headliner.

In 2008, he came under fire for similar behaviour on stage, after hurling homophobic comments at a fan during a concert in Norway, threatening to kick him in the face and then throwing a bottle at him.

It’s just so hard being a rocker.
