AIRPORT TO USE VIRUS-SNIFFING DOGS
Finland's coronavirus-sniffing-dog pilot program at Helsinki Airport will deliver results within 10 seconds and require less than a minute of travellers' time. People will swab their necks to produce a sample, to submit through a hatch in a wall — and will be urged to take a standard COVID-19 test so researchers can monitor the dogs' accuracy. One obstacle is that training is time-consuming and expensive.
