PACKERS DOWN TO SPARE PART S AT RB

-

Running backs AJ Dillon and Jamaal Williams are not available for the Packers this week, leaving Green Bay to hold its breath on the status of Aaron Jones for Thursday's game at San Francisco. Dillon, pictured, tested positive for COVID-19 and Williams was ruled out Tuesday as a “high-risk close contact.” Jones, who hasn't played the past two weeks due to a calf injury, might not be ready to return Thursday. That would leave the Packers with two healthy running backs — Dexter Williams and return specialist Tyler Ervin. Elsewhere, Denver GM John Elway and team president/CEO Joe Ellis tested positive. Both are isolating and working from home, the Broncos reported. Meanwhile, the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers reported no positive results from Monday's testing. That comes a day after cornerback Marlon Humphrey announced he tested positive for the virus. He played every snap on defence in the Ravens' 28-24 loss to Pittsburgh on Sunday. This Sunday, the Ravens (5-2) play the Colts (5-2), while the Steelers (7-0) play Dallas (2-6).
