HOMAN TEAM HAPPY TO HAVE TRIALS SPOT LOCKED UP

-

The Canadian Olympic curling trials are just 13 months away and many top teams in the country are wondering how they can possibly qualify for the event when no points are currently being awarded due to the pandemic. Rachel Homan and her teammates don't have to worry about that, having already qualified by winning the 2019 Canada Cup. “We are very happy about that,” Homan's third, Emma Miskew, said. “… We're feeling relieved and, at this point, we can just play and work on some stuff and just try to get the new team all set up without the risk of dropping in points, or anything like that, which is kind of nice.” Homan and 2020 Scotties champion Kerri Einarson of Gimli, Man., are the only two skips with trials berths locked up already. The Olympic trials are slated for Saskatoon in December of 2021.
