Ecoholic Body bestselling author Adria Vasil to speak at Ottawa Health & Wellness Expo
Just in time to help with those NewYear’s resolutions, the 8th annual Ottawa Health & Wellness Expo will take place on Jan. 11, 2014 at the Shenkman Arts Centre, 245 Centrum Blvd., just east of Place d’Orléans. With a slogan of “be fit, eat right, think well, go green,” the Expo offers something for everyone determined to embrace a healthier, more fulfilling lifestyle. The Expo will feature over 110 exhibitors, health and wellness experts, speakers, live demonstrations and more.
Wellness expert Dr. Nathalie Beauchamp, owner of Santé Chiropractic and Wellness Centre, is the driving force behind the annual Ottawa Health & Wellness Expo. On a quest to make Ottawa the healthiest city in Canada, Dr. Beauchamp has been tireless in her efforts to help people live healthier, longer lives.
Dr. Beauchamp found that her patients were routinely asking the same healthrelated questions. They were motivated to make lifestyle changes but were overwhelmed by the abundance of information and health products available on the market. Dr. Beauchamp founded the Ottawa Health & Wellness Expo to connect health conscious consumers with health and wellness resources in the community.
“This year’s show will host over 110 exhibitors, nearly all of them local companies,” said Dr. Beauchamp. “This really gives people an idea of what we have in our community. These are local, smaller companies that have amazing products.”
Adria Vasil, bestselling author of Ecoholic Body, will be the keynote speaker at the Expo. A vocal advocate of women’s issues, human rights and the Earth, since 2004 Adria has been writing a column about everything from greening your food choices, finances and footwear to detoxifying your home and office. Ecoholic Body, her latest book, deals with every product that comes into contact with our bodies and dispels many myths and claims made by producers of so-called green products.
