Data-entry whiz: The Ottawa Rotary Home provides respite care for children, teens and adults with physical disabilities. They need a data-entry volunteer to transfer data from one computer system to another. Needed are Interprofessional Unit Volunteers to provide person-centred care to patients and residents. This includes engaging in various activities such as one-on-one visits, bedside reading, facilitating small group activities, accompanying patients and residents to various events and observances. It’s that time of year again! The Salvation Army is launching its annual Christmas Kettle Campaign. Christmas Kettle attendants bring in our largest contributions of the year. Money raised supports our many family and community services, from children’s camps to emergency disaster services. A great opportunity for anyone who enjoys engaging with the public and would like to donate their time to help others. There are kettles at sites across the city, from Kanata to Orléans, so you can choose a location convenient for you. We need volunteers Nov. 20 to Christmas Eve (excluding Sundays).
