Baptiste and Paul make camp

Ottawa native Nick Baptiste and Ottawa Senators prospect Nick Paul have been named to the selection camp for the national team that will compete for gold in Toronto and Montreal.

The camp will run from Dec. 11 to 15 under the team’s coach Benoit Groulx, who is the head coach of the Gatineau Olympiques.

Hockey Canada will learn by Dec. 19 whether 19-yearold NHLers Bo Horvat, Jonathan Drouin, Anthony Duclair and Curtis Lazar (Ottawa Senators) will be joining the roster.

Canada’s first game is vs. Slovakia on Dec. 26 at the Bell Centre in Montreal. The host team also faces Germany (Dec. 27), Finland (Dec. 29) and the United States (Dec. 31). Pool B of the Czech Republic, Denmark, Russia, Sweden and Switzerlan­d plays at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre, which will also be the site of the eliminatio­n games on Jan. 2, 4 and 5.
