S. Dilawri Automotive Group began breaking ground for its latest project this month. Situated on the northwest corner of Hwy. 416 and Fallowfield Road, this prime Nepean real estate will house four new state-of-the-art dealerships serving Nepean/Barrhaven, Manotick, South Kanata and all the way to Kemptville.

Construction has now begun on two of the four stores; the first will be a Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram dealership of 33,000 square feet sitting on four acres of land. This dealership will also feature 20 service bays( including four heavy-duty commercialtruck bays) and a fully-heated six-vehicle drive through with mobile technology, allowing customers to drive right into a temperature controlled environment and having an advisor address their needs right at the vehicle.

The second store, being built con currently, will be a Mazda dealership of 23,000 square feet sitting on three acres of land. This dealership will feature 14 service bays and a fully-heated four-vehicle drive through, also with mobile technology.

Both dealerships are being built using environmentally-friendly technologies such as advanced LED lighting, rainwater recovery systems and intelligent HVAC controls. MB Ford Construction was chosen as the builder for both dealerships, under the leadership of Chris Vaughan, and using local area subcontractors, vendors and crew.

“We are excited to start this venture in Ottawa’s newest hub,” said owner Shiv Dilawri. “We appreciate the support the local community has shown to us,especially Coun. Scott M off att, whose guidance and assistance was instrumental in keeping our project on time .” Coun. Moffattwa son hand for the groundbreaking and took the time to pose for a group picture.

The community would be pleased to hear that these two dealerships alone are expected to employ an additional 70 local full time employees in various departments and positions. In fact, Dilawri has officially started the recruiting process and is now looking for applications. Interested parties can apply at HR@dilawricanada.com.
