Man injured in stabbing

A man was taken to hospital with undisclosed injuries after a stabbing near Smyth Road early Sunday morning. Ottawa police said they were called to a disturbance at about 7:15 a.m. on Russell Road, near the Dempsey Community Centre at 1895 Russell Rd. Witnesses said several homes in the area were cordoned off by police. No others were reported injured and no one was in custody in relation to the incident.
