$400K damage in Carlington fire

Ottawa firefighters battled a two-alarm fire at 1215 Trenton Ave. late Friday night. Ottawa Fire Services received a 911 call about a house fire at 10:53, with the caller saying black smoke was pouring out of the two-storey building. It was reported that the owners were not home at the time of the fire; no injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $350,000 to the house and $50,000 to the contents. The fire is under investigation.
