Scandal after scandal in the police service

Re: Bordeleau blames ‘glitch’ for recruit’s rejection letter, Aug. 10.

As a retired police officer, I no longer have the privilege to speak of the goings-on at the Ottawa Police Service. However, as a taxpayer, I can say I’m outraged. Blunder after blunder or scandal after scandal is all we seem to hear coming from 474 Elgin St.

Isn’t it time for the chair of the Police Services Board and the mayor of this city to step up and review Chief Charles Bordeleau’s leadership and perhaps listen to the people? A vote of non-confidence is looming. If not, I hope the city has plenty of money to pay for these continued blunders and scandals.
