IF YOU GO

-

There are no direct flights from Canada to Malta; you have to fly to a city in Europe — Paris or Frankfurt, for example — and then get a connecting flight, usually two to three hours to the islands. The currency is the euro. The summer months are the busiest times for tourists. August is hotter than July. According to locals, February is the rainiest month. The ferry system can take you between islands. Because it’s government-run, it’s fairly inexpensive.
