Transit access, green focus puts shine on condos

Barrhaven condos emphasize energy efficiency, access to transit

In the heart of Barrhaven lies a gorgeous low-rise condominiu­m apartment building surrounded by green space, schools and public transporta­tion.

Campanale Homes’ newest luxury condo, The Station, is the centrepiec­e of their Longfields developmen­t site and occupancy has just begun. Located between Greenbank and Woodroffe, the Longfields Station community was built on the vision that every resident should benefit from access to public transit. Less than a block away, nearby residents can take an OC Transpo route 95 and arrive downtown within 40 minutes.

Campanale Homes began with Phase I, which consisted of townhomes, condo flats and twobedroom Urban Terrace Homes, which are currently for sale starting from $214,900. Once complete, the Longfields site will become a community in which residents have access to commercial services, parks and recreation­al areas and shared sitting areas within a short walking distance.

The first floor of The Station holds seven commercial spaces. New homeowners in the area will have easy access to the Campanale Sales Centre, Longfields Dental, Active Health Institute, Precision Medical Centre, Longfields Pharmacy and Juluca’s Bistro Café. The seventh and last space is currently available for lease through Campanale’s Management. Santana Campanale, director of sales and one of the seven second-generation Campanale family members in the company, says that the community is excited to have so much within walking distance of their new homes: “The commercial businesses on the main floor not only complement The Station but also the entire Longfields Station community.”

When entering The Station, homeowners can see that the Campanale Team has had every detail attended to. From the glass tables by the stainless-steel elevator doors to the accent wall dressed in wallpaper depicting great buildings and monuments in the lobby’s seating area, nothing has been missed. Continue upstairs and you’ll encounter light-grey walls and warm wood trim around tenants’ doors. Each apartment number is hung like a plaque: metallic numbers stand strong atop a wooden base and a little light shines directly on them from above. The dimmed overhead lights and the soothing natural colours make guests and homeowners feel as if they’re entering a high-end hotel in New York City.
