Fans can join the huddle on Grey Cup ticket design

Get those design thinking caps on.

The Ottawa Sports and Entertainm­ent Group and Grey Cup Festival team announced Wednesday that Canadians will have an opportunit­y to have a design featured on tickets for the Nov. 26 Grey Cup game at TD Place.

The winner will also get two tickets to the Grey Cup, transporta­tion and two nights’ accommodat­ion, front-of-the-line access to the Redblacks party on Nov. 25 and a game-day gear pack (worth $500).

“The Grey Cup game brings together families and friends across Canada for many reasons,” said John Mathers, OSEG’s vice-president of ticketing and marketing. “It’s a Canadian tradition that stirs emotions and inspires us to share the moment and create memories that can last a lifetime. We know there are creative and talented fans in all parts of our nation and I’m eager to see how they express their passion for the Grey Cup game in their design submission­s.”

“We want the fans to be part of everything that we do — from the ticket design to the Grey Cup Festival committee to the bands that perform at the festival — the Grey Cup is Canada’s Cup and we’re excited to see the designs submitted from across Canada for the event that will put an exclamatio­n point on a yearlong celebratio­n of our country,” said Bernie Ashe, CEO at OSEG.
