Hanging geodesic dome offers comfort

-

They’re part love seat, part bed, and part private space, and add up to being a high-quality investment for relaxation and enjoying the outdoors during warm weather months. These hanging geodesic domes, more formally known as Kodama Zomes, offer a combination of art and design with a top priority placed on comfort, reports House Beautiful.

Kodama Zomes hang from a single overhead point — meaning that they’re set up to rock and sway smoothly. Larger than the average hanging swing, the units themselves weigh 110 pounds, yet they’re able to hold up to 600 pounds — or roughly four adults.

And how will it withstand inclement weather? With its double-coated, powder-coated steel, the webbing is mildew- and UV-resistant polyester — and the accompanying mattress and cushions are made out of foam and outdoor upholstery fabric, built to handle the harshest of elements.

Available in five different colours, the cost of Kodama Zomes will set you back US$5,400 (and up, factoring in international shipping fees). Postmedia News
