Escort and accomplice sought in alleged beating, robbery of customer

- MEGAN GILLIS

An escort who called herself “Anastasia” and her male accomplice are wanted for allegedly beating and robbing a customer on July 4.

Police say a “John” found the woman’s services online, arranged a tryst at a residence on the 2600 block of Draper Avenue and paid up front.

But after services were rendered, the woman claimed she hadn’t been paid. She made a call and another man showed up to the residence. The customer was repeatedly assaulted and robbed of his cellphone and other items, police allege.

The pair fled in a vehicle, possibly a dark-coloured Hyundai Elantra, while the victim was taken to hospital. His injuries amounted to bumps and bruises.

The woman is described as white, about 5’7” and “skinny,” with blond and blue shoulderlength hair. She spoke unaccented English.

The man is described as Middle Eastern, about 5’9", also with a skinny build, and with short black hair. He was unshaven.

Staff-Sgt. Michael Haarbosch said there could be other victims reluctant to seek help.
