Claridge Homes: Built for life in Ottawa

- SHAWN MALHOTRA Chief Operating Officer Claridge Homes

Claridge is stepping into 2018 by starting new communities, providing our best homes yet, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

Building communities in Ottawa has been the pride and joy of Claridge Homes for more than 30 years. While that’s not changing, the types of communities we’re developing, technology we’re building with, and styles of homes we’re designing are. In 2018, we will be laying the foundation for the coming decade in low-rise, highrise and retirement living for the city of Ottawa.

Claridge Homes continues to build on a tradition of excellence with the release of an entirely new line of low-rise homes. In the coming year, Claridge will be building homes in five new communities across the city. The west of Ottawa will be introduced to the highly anticipated Westwood Community at the start of the year and the newly announced Maple Grove in the fall. In the east, we will be releasing a new phase at our popular Spring Valley Trails development, which will surround a new school, parks and plenty of green space. The south of Ottawa will see three brand-new communities with the addition of Lilythorne in Findlay Creek, Rivers Edge in Riverside South, and Watters Pointe in Barrhaven.

With these new communities and floor plans, Claridge Homes is also excited to announce our entirely new Platinum Series standard specification. The Platinum Series will include 1¼-inch granite in the kitchen, pot lights, smooth finish ceilings and hardwood on the main floor, just to name a few features. With the enriched specifications, we will be building our best homes yet, and we can’t wait for you to move in.

Claridge’s highrise development team continues to enhance Ottawa’s growing skyline with both architecturally stunning and environmentally friendly condos, rental buildings and hotels. Most notable, we will begin selling our newest condominium complex at Lyon and Albert in the spring. In addition, the crown jewel of our highrise buildings, the Claridge Icon, continues to rise above Little Italy. Riverstone Retirement continues to grow with our newest retirement home, Riverpath, opening in 2019. The success that Claridge experiences in its retirement living division is due to the growing demand that Riverstone has met with exceptional service and high quality living spaces. Riverstone will continue to expand on their reputation with another new retirement home in the west end, Timberwalk, with construction beginning this year.

As technology becomes more ingrained in our lives, it also continues to be more integrated into our homes. Claridge realizes the opportunities to make homes smarter and more efficient, helping both our homeowners and our precious environment. Claridge continues to work toward reducing our carbon footprint both during construction and by designing homes with energy savings built-in.

Claridge is stepping into 2018 by starting new communities, providing our best homes yet, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
