Mark Stone is ready for whatever happens next with the Senators.

Retool? Rebuild? Every possibility is on the table right now and the Senators winger noted Monday other teams have done that with resounding results.

“If you look at the better teams in the league, the teams that have drafted well and have utilized their young guys well, are the teams that are making the biggest strides this year,” said Stone, a restricted free agent on July 1.

“You look at Boston, you look at Toronto, and they implemented high end, young talent and it’s been a huge benefit for their team. They still have a core group of players that maintain the room, maintain accountability and that’s something I’m going to look to do as I become an older, more experienced player.

“I’m going to try my best to hold guys accountable, and hold myself accountable, as this group moves forward.”

Stone said he isn’t sure how much change this team will go through.

“It’s not up to make those decisions and that’s why management (does),” said Stone. “At the end of the day, we haven’t performed the way we were expected so you have to expect changes will be made.
