While JJ finds success at school with a group of friends, Maya forces the cancellati­on of the homecoming bonfire, concerned that the beach location is not wheelchair accessible. Soon, the students speak out against JJ.

Charlie and Alan get into a power struggle when Alan allows Berta to stay at Charlie’s house for a few days while her brother tries to wean himself off drugs at her place. Berta, who has an ulterior motive, plays one brother against the other.

Melanie and Derwin discover that she might be pregnant and she realizes that she is not ready for parenthood and puts off taking the pregnancy test. Meanwhile, Derwin is excited and plans a proposal during half-time.
