The dismissal of Renfrew’s fire chief appears to a truly tawdry coup d’état pulled off by small-time bureaucrats. I’ve read and listened to the reeve of Renfrew prevaricate and offer dry, clinical insights into why the dismissal of this incredibly experienced individual was necessary, but I’m not buying it, and he shouldn’t be selling it.

At any rate, the reeve has made it much easier for me to decide where to spend my money in the Ottawa valley this year.
