Man found face down in pool

A man in his 30s is in hospital in critical condition after being found face down in the pool of a highrise Riverside Drive apartment building Monday. Ottawa paramedics said they got the call at 10:10 a.m. to the building near Smyth Road and found the man in cardiac arrest. With the help of firefighters, they launched aggressive attempts to save his life. It was unknown how long he’d been in the pool or whether it was a medical incident because it was an “unwitnessed event,” paramedics said.
