Modern Family (15) 7pm Claire is caught off guard when Phil’s father shows up in an RV with a little four-legged friend. Cameron offers to fill in as a drummer for Dylan’s band, and Jay and Gloria suffer the consequences when they take Manny to a traumatizing horror movie. NCIS (39) 7pm After investigating the murder of a retired Master Sergeant, the team uncovers a fraudulent charity that preys on those searching for missing military personnel. Meanwhile, Bishop agonizes over the results of her probation evaluation. The Goldbergs (47) 7pm When Barry receives his first driver’s licence, Beverly lays out the rules about using the car, including the most important: ‘Call me when you get there!’ After Barry disobeys his mother and gets in trouble, he decides to lie about his whereabouts. Wipeout (51) 7pm Lean and mean cuisine is on the menu as Italian delights and pizza projectiles are served up on a cafeteria-themed Spinner. Contestants, including a rock star and math whiz, also face the Moving Big Balls and Hoop Run on this week’s episode. The Simpsons (59) 7pm Homer is diagnosed with narcolepsy, but instead of returning home with his prescription medication, he returns home drunk. He and Marge visit a marriage counsellor and have a trial separation, during which Homer begins dating a 20-something. Empire (18) (36) 8pm The Lyon family works to get back in their groove with a brand-new project underway. As Cookie and Portia attempt to sign Devon, who has just the sound they’re looking for, Andre tries to prove himself useful to Lucious on the business side of things. Bravest Warriors (48) 8pm While Chris struggles to make it home in time for the feast of Wanksgiving, the other Warriors prepare to create new holiday traditions. When a Timegobbler kills the Bravest Warriors, they find themselves restored to an earlier “save point.” The Night Shift (18) 9pm After performing a daring on-site rescue to save a teenage girl, Drew is forced to re-evaluate his priorities as a new father. Back at the hospital, the ER is flooded with mass casualty victims from an amusement park disaster. All American (62) 9pm While trying to be all things on and off the field, Spencer discovers the rules he played by at Crenshaw no longer apply in Beverly Hills. Coop is forced to learn a new set of rules with Spencer’s protective ‘halo effect’ now gone. 24: Live Another Day (70) 9pm In the penultimate episode,Audrey pursues diplomatic channels to try to prevent a full-scale war. First, Guy Fieri gives them an item limit for making their hometown favorite. High Maintenance (302) 9pm The Guy makes an uncomfortable delivery to a macho client and his taciturn friend. Meanwhile, best friends Max and Lainey’s co-dependent relationship begins to wane after Max finds a new group of people to hang out with. Chicago P.D. (3) (9) 10 pm A ride along goes awry, and Burgess must decide whether to follow Voight’s advice or that of a new ally. Impractical Jokers (44) 11 pm Joe, Sal, Q and Murr try to warm up to strangers at a ski lodge and pull up a chair as uninvited guests at an Italian restaurant. And tonight’s punishment takes the cake when the loser is the surprise entertainer at the wrong party. Chicago Fire (9) 9pm When a series of explosions rocks the city, Lt. Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) and his colleagues at Firehouse 51 are on high alert in a new episode of “Chicago Fire,” airing Wednesday, Oct. 17, on NBC. At the same time, Herrmann (David Eigenberg) adjusts to his new role, and an old friend visits Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo).
