Witnesses sought after hit-and-run

Ottawa police want to speak to three witnesses to a hit-and-run in a Merivale Road parking lot

Friday that seriously injured a 15-year-old boy. A 19-year-old man from Ottawa turned himself in the day after the collision and was charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm, failing to stop and other Highway Traffic Act offences. The collision occurred July 31 between 8:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., outside the Canadian Tire at Merivale and Hunt Club roads.
