LEBANESE BURGERS
Serves: 6
■1 1/2 lb (680 g) lean ground beef
■1/2 cup (125 mL) chopped fresh parsley
■1/4 cup (60 mL) finely chopped red onion
■1 tsp (5 mL) cinnamon
■1 tsp (5 mL) cumin
■1 tsp (5 mL) paprika
■1 tsp (5 mL) salt
■1/2 tsp (2.5 mL) cayenne pepper
■3 pita bread, halved
■Yogurt sauce (recipe follows)
■Shredded lettuce
1. Combine first 8 ingredients (beef through cayenne pepper). Shape mixture into 6 oval patties. Grill patties over medium heat on natural gas barbecue until completely cooked.
2. Serve in pita halves with yogurt sauce and lettuce.
